What to Expect

The Quality Engineer is responsible for all incoming, inline, and outgoing quality for their manufacturing areas. The primary objective of this role is to support the production of high quality vehicles through risks analysis and mitigation, and continual improvement of our products and processes. 

Engineering opportunities are currently open within the following teams: Castings, Battery, Body, Drive Unit, General Assembly, Paint, Production Control, and Stamping.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop manufacturing requirements, quality standards, and product quality plans to ensure products will meet expectations of our target customers
  • Lead development of PFMEAs, control plans, and test/inspection procedures to identify and eliminate risks associated with our products and processes
  • Drive cross-functional problem solving teams to drive process and product improvements, and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation, and validation of effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Support production operations to achieve both production and quality KPI's

What You’ll Bring

  • Quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
  • Specific training and demonstrated success in applying quality problem solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc.
  • Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
