What to Expect
Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around May or June 2023 and continue through the entire Summer term. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships. Please consider before submitting an application.
International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.
We are seeking an individual to join us to support our quickly growing portfolio of Tesla Workplace locations. The Workplace Utility/Waste Analytics team plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations at Tesla facilities as well as leading numerous projects in financial and environmental sustainability. The intern will apply their analytical and communication skills to support these projects. The role will encompass a fast-paced introduction to the tasks and responsibilities required to support our North American locations.
What You’ll Do
- Perform cost/data analysis assignments supporting Workplace Operations as assigned.
- Perform analysis of projected and forecasted utility/waste spend
- Work directly with internal teams to assist with utility/waste related questions and requests
- Contact utility/waste vendors to request information and initiate service level changes
- Conduct research of energy incentives and rebate programs
- Assist in the design and implementation of energy/waste dashboards
What You’ll Bring
- Superior communication skills; written and verbal- ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals
- Intermediate/Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table and VLOOKUP experience a plus)
- Preferred Major in a field relevant to business planning & analysis
- Demonstrated interest in energy management solutions and sustainable waste management
- General understanding of energy/waste industry and regulations
