Responsibilities:
- Installs electrical equipment and systems at the TESLA- Gigafactory facility utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Performs Low Voltage cabling installations, including New Commercial Data, Access Control, Fiber Optic, Fire Alarm Cable, and HVAC Cable,
- Installation of Access control equipment, data equipment, including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, etc.
- Working with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processes
- Supporting controls group in troubleshooting upgrading and new installation of systems
- Consulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Repairing and adjusting system components or removing and replacing defective parts
- Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment
- Work on projects throughout the entire facility, connecting devices and using lifts and ladders
- Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems
- Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company

Full description
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will be responsible for installation on access control equipment and IP based video systems including but not limited to: electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP and analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired and wireless systems and intercom systems, PLC systems, VFD systems, PSP systems, FCU systems, PLC systems.
- Installs electrical equipment and systems at the TESLA- Gigafactory facility utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Working as a team with the entire Construction Trades Team department, performing general installation, , trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
- Operates a variety of tools, such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, articulation boom, forklift, and test equipment
- Perform skilled infrastructure/structured cabling work in the installation and alteration of low voltage category cabling, Fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, new Commercial Data, Access Control and other various low voltage cabling systems, Including Fire Alarm Cable, HVAC Cable
- Complete physical installations and removal of structured cabling components, cabinets, pathway systems (cable tray), move equipment, racks, and related communications infrastructure materials
- Perform installation and service of low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communications cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 3, Category 5, Enhanced Category 5, Category 6 and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems
- Performs termination, labeling and testing of Cat6, Cat6e cabling.
- Keeps cable neatly dressed in and bundled while maintaining safety/site standards
- Troubleshoot system installations in such a manner as to identify issues and to apply the most effective and efficient resolution consistent with company installation standards; identify and repair physical security systems as required to ensure operability and compliance with any applicable building code
- Supporting controls group in troubleshooting upgrading and new installation of systems.
- Testing instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipment

- High School diploma or GED along with a preferred Technical Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation.
